With LabBench protocols, you will see a clean interface containing only what is required for your experiment. This will free you to focus on what is essential during your experiment and the comfort and safety of your subjects.
With low-code scripting, you can automate tasks during your experiment. Standard scripts can be downloaded, or you can customise them into your own. Automation is based on Python, a mature, widely accepted, and easy-to-learn scripting language.
LabBench protocols ensure that the same procedures and parameters are used in your experiment. This validates the quality of your data. By sharing and reusing protocols, studies can be compared and reproduced within and between research groups.
Use Cuff Pressure Algometry to study deep tissue pain and central mechanisms behind pain sensitisation. LabBench provides the CPAR+ algometer that can be used for automated algometry protocols focused on bilateral pain thresholds, temporal and spatial summation, and conditioning pain modulation.
Use Nerve Excitability Testing to study the biophysical mechanisms in small and large sensory nerve fibres in vivo. LabBench provides the software and hardware to determine perception thresholds to electrical stimuli. Automized LabBench protocols to obtain peripheral nerve fibre excitability measures, such as the strength-duration relation and the accommodation properties.
Quantitative Sensory Testing with probes such as two-point discrimination discs, grating orientation probes, or Semmes-Weinstein Monofilaments to study the function of mechanoreceptive fibres. We provide software to estimate perception thresholds and psychometric functions with adaptive methods.
We provide software and hardware for studies within neuroscience and psychophysiology. Our leading software is LabBench which is a platform for performing studies by predefined protocols. The LabBench software can be used with LabBench® I/O devices and 3rd party research equipment. LabBench® I/O are data acquisition devices that can generate control signals to stimulators, sample data from amplifiers, and collect psychophysical responses. We also provide stimulators, such as the LabBench CPAR+ device for cuff pressure algometry.
By nature, research is novel, and no two research groups are the same. Our approach for the LabBench® and our research devices is that they serve as a starting point for your research studies that can be tailored to your needs. If you think LabBench® may or can be made into providing what is needed for your research studies, please contact us for an informal meeting or send an enquiry. Then we will explore whether there is a fit between what you need for your experiments and what we can provide.
Our goal is to create open and novel research devices for neuroscience.
