Inventors' Way needs to gather and use certain information about individuals.

These can include employees, test subjects, and other people the company has a relationship with or may need to contact.

In general, Inventors' Way only processes personal data for specific purposes, where legitimate interests are present. Only personal data that is relevant and necessary to fulfil the specified purpose is processed, and the personal data is deleted, when it is no longer required.

Purpose of data processing

Inventors' Way is processing data for specific purposes when legitimate interests are present.

Legitimate interests within Inventors' Way:

• Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (employee contract), Article 6, 1(b)

• Processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations (employees, test subjects), Article 6, 1(c)

• The data subject has given consent to the processing (test subjects), Article 6, 1(a)

   a. Administration of employment

   b. Fulfilment of law (employer obligations)

   c. Promotion of the company on its website

2. Customers:

   a. Administration of product sales

   b. Administration of development on behalf of customers

   c. Fulfilment of law

   d. Assessment of test results

3. Suppliers

   a. Purchase of components and services for the production of products

Personal data categories

Inventors' Way is processing the following personal data:

1. Employees:

   a. Personal data: Data regarding employment for administration, this includes:

   i.  CPR number, name, address, position, employment, education, CV
   
   ii. Salary, banking data, paychecks, tax rates, pension
   
   iii. Sick leave, parental leave
   
   iv. Correspondence between employee and manager of specific circumstantial contents, disciplinary warnings etc.
   

   b. Special categories of personal data:

   i.  Portrait photos
   
   ii. CVs
   

2. Customers:

   a. Personal data: Contact information, this includes:

   i.  Name, address, telephone, email
   
   ii. Data required for the specific sale.
   

   b. Special categories of personal data:

   i.  Data required for the sale shipping products to the customer.
   
   ii. Banking information for payment of products
   

3. Suppliers

   a. Personal data: Contact information, this includes:

   i.  Name, address, telephone, email
   
   ii. Data required for the specific purchase.
   

   b. Special categories of personal data:

   i.  Data required for returning defective products to the supplier.

Besides this, personal data from potential applicants are processed occasionally. Data is limited to the CV and contact information of the applicant.

Transfer of personal data

Inventors' Way is transferring employees' personal data to fulfil employer obligations (e.g., to tax authorities). Besides this, Inventors' Way is not transferring any personal data to third parties.

Origin of personal data

Personal data processed within Inventors' Way origins from the data subject.

For employee administration, personal data is also retrieved from public authorities, e.g., tax authorities.

Data storage and erasure

Employees/applicants:

• Personal data on applicants is deleted at the latest two years after termination of recruitment case.

• Personal data on former employees is deleted five years after termination of employee case to fulfil Danish accounting laws.

• Personal data on former customers is deleted ten years after discontinuation of the last product sold to the customer.

• Personal data on former suppliers is deleted ten years after discontinuation of the last product they delivered parts to.

Consent

When possible, Inventors' Way will process personal data on legitimate interest on other legal bases than consent.

In case, Inventors' Way asks for your consent, your consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting Inventors' Way.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, it does not affect the legality of Inventors' Way's processing of your personal data based on your prior consent and until the withdrawal date. If you withdraw your consent, it will not be effective until this date.

Rights of the data subject

According to the regulation, you have fundamental rights as a data subject in relation to the processing of your personal data by Inventors' Way:

1. Right to be informed about whether personal data concerning you is processed within Inventors' Way.

2. Right of access to the personal data Inventors' Way is processing on you.

3. Right to rectification if the personal data that Inventors' Way is processing is inaccurate.

4. Right to erase your personal data that Inventors' Way is processing when there is no longer legitimate interest for retaining the data.

5. Right to restriction of processing, if the data is contested to be inaccurate or no longer needed, or the processing is unlawful, or you have objected to processing.

6. Right to data portability, so your personal data can be transmitted to another controller in a structured, commonly used format.

7. Right to object to Inventors' Way's processing of personal data concerning you.
